What this trainer covers
The guitar uses standard tuning, low to high: E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4. Questions cover all six strings from fret 0 (the open string) through fret 12, for 78 positions in a complete question bank.
A worked fretboard example
String 6 is the low E string. Moving up 3 frets raises E by 3 semitones, so string 6, fret 3 is G. The trainer gets every answer from the same note engine.
Sharp spelling
The answer choices use one predictable name for each pitch class: C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A# and B. A# is the same pitch as Bb; this MVP always asks for A#.
